Technology infrastructure is a new but important focus for Monsoon’s alignment to the socio-economic development goals of our host nations. We seek to promote upskilling of the domestic work force, knowledge transfer and technologies consistent with the host nation’s stage of development. The use of appropriate enabling technology has been an important component in all our investments, including in our waste management assets and in the Validation, Verification & Monitoring technology in our afforestation & reforestation project.

Our main initiative in this sector is the Angkor Technopolis Project. This is our proposed Integrated Digital-Industrial Park to be built on a Monsoon site outside of Siem Reap. This location provides tenants with easy access to Siem Reap’s very liveable environment, social and cultural life, its International Airport and the national Optical Fibre Backbone. The location also anchors further development of the Phnom Penh-Siem Reap corridor east of Tonle Sap to the south towards Phnom Penh, our Project CESAR site and the Sihanoukville sea port.

Our vision is for Angkor Tech to be an integral component in promoting Cambodia’s national digitisation and industrial policies and to be a pioneering model to seed similar developments in Cambodia and beyond into other developing markets.
