ABOUT US

Monsoon Investments Holding Pte Ltd (“Monsoon”) is an investment holding company established 2005 in Singapore. Our investment interest is primarily Asia-Pacific and Europe from our offices in Singapore and
Paris.

Monsoon business is to develop, own and operate projects with established market demand in real estate-based technology infrastructure, environmental management & clean energy, food supply chain development, climate change mitigation & carbon sequestration, aerospace & defence technology start-ups. We also seek existing proven projects which we may support with private equity, venture funding or forward purchases. We consider opportunities in all Asian markets. We are now focused on waste management, science and technology park infrastructure, ARR (afforestation, reforestation & revegetation) and agrifood supply chains working with financial and technical partners.

Monsoon makes private sector investments to develop, pilot and prove projects that are commercially & ecologically sustainable, creating positive global impact and managed institutional investment opportunities into proven large-scale projects.

Monsoon’s investment policy is guided by the objectives of catalysing business transformation with impactful investment aligned with host government socio-economic policies and ecologically sensitive operations in collaboration with local and cross-border sector experts.

We are committed to The Ten Principles of the UN Global Compact .

Monsoon is actively engaged with the global climate change mitigation community as a participant in the UN Global Compact and the World Climate Foundation.

As a climate change mitigation project developer, we are registered commercial participants of the Verra Registry, Climate Impact Exchange and Air Carbon Exchange.

Meet Our Leadership Team

Managing Partner

Christopher WILSON

Chris leads Monsoon’s investor relations and our environmental & social development activities.

He brings 35 years of relevant experience holding senior roles in fund management and private banking in Singapore and Hong Kong. He is also Co-Founder of Water & Healthcare (WAH) Foundation, bringing clean water and health care to South East Asian schools and communities to eradicate water-borne diseases.

Chris, originally from England, is now a long term resident and naturalised citizen of Singapore.

Executive Chairman

Boun Chhay KHOV

Boun Chhay is Monsoon’s strategic visionary and manages our key government & corporate relationships.

Boun Chhay has over 30 years in Asian economic development having served in regional banking bodies, advised on key ASEAN financial and economic initiatives and was founder and managing shareholder of MekongBank.

Boun Chhay was educated in Thailand, France, United Kingdom and United States. He is well exposed to and has extensive experience in emerging markets.

Boun Chhay, who identifies as an ASEAN citizen, has lived and done business in Asia, Europe and America, and is a firm believer and advocate of the ASEAN Economic Community.

Managing Partner

Edmund TAN

Edmund is responsible for Monsoon’s finance and investment management.

He comes from an infrastructure banking background serving major Asian markets at HSBC, NM Rothschild and Maybank, financing electricity, water and transport infrastructure.

Edmund has direct enterprise management experience from Bechtel and KOP Group as well as businesses he founded and seeded. In addition to infrastructure development, his business experience include REITs, real estate, hospitality, yachts, branding and agri-food supply chains.

He is trained in law and dispute resolution, bringing together valuable business, legal and relationship management perspectives to contracts, investments and joint ventures.

Edmund graduated from the University of London with an LL.B and has an MBA in International Business from City University. He is a member of the Bar of England & Wales and the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.
